Terms of Service
This is a draft prepared without review by a licensed attorney. It is intended as a functional starting point, not final legal advice — have it reviewed before relying on it, especially the governing-law, liability, and dispute-resolution sections.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BugManager (the "Service"), operated by Ogo-Oluwa Alege ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
BugManager lets you embed a widget on your website so your users can report bugs, and uses automated agents — including large language models — to deduplicate, categorize, and suggest fixes for those reports.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account.
- Accounts are created via Google Sign-In. You're responsible for maintaining the security of the Google account tied to your BugManager account, and for all activity under it.
- One account per person or organization, used in good faith. Don't create multiple accounts to work around plan limits (project caps, report quotas, or founding-pricing eligibility).
3. Subscriptions & billing
- Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
- "Founding" pricing is offered to a limited number of early subscribers and, for the annual plan, is capped at a fixed number of accounts ever (see the pricing page for current availability). Once you hold a founding-annual slot, it isn't revoked by a later cancellation, but founding pricing itself is not transferable to another account.
- We may change prices for new subscribers at any time. If we change the price of a plan you're actively subscribed to, we'll give you reasonable advance notice before it takes effect on your next renewal.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, not by these Terms.
4. Your content
- You retain ownership of the bug reports, project data, and any other content you or your end users submit through the widget or dashboard ("Customer Content").
- You're responsible for having the right to submit Customer Content — including making sure your own end users' data (console errors, URLs, browser storage snapshots, or free-text descriptions they submit) is something you're lawfully permitted to collect and pass to us.
- AI processing disclosure: Customer Content is sent to Google's Gemini models (via Google Cloud Vertex AI) to perform categorization, deduplication, and fix suggestions. Don't submit content through the Service that you're not permitted to share with a third-party processor. See our Privacy Policy for the full list of subprocessors.
- We use Customer Content only to operate and improve the Service for you — not to train models on your data, and not to sell it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to store or transmit unlawful, infringing, or abusive content;
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, plan limits, or authentication;
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service without our written permission;
- Use the Service in a way that disrupts it for other customers.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
6. Termination
- You can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing view in your dashboard.
- We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or if required by law. Where reasonably possible, we'll give notice first.
- On termination, your data is handled per our Privacy Policy's deletion timeline.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Automated triage and AI-generated suggestions may be wrong — you're responsible for reviewing them before acting on them.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ogo-Oluwa Alege will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. (Placeholder — needs review: consider whether an arbitration clause or a specific venue is appropriate for your situation.)
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will update the version and effective date at the top of this page; continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
